All textures are photoscanned, that‘s what I enjoy the most. Because of my interest in textures I heard about photogrammetry and learned this unique skill. When I was 12 years old I was fascinated by textures and structures so that was when I started to photograph them a lot. I started to scan them seriously 8 months ago and offer them for free on my website. 3880 users have already downloaded over 55.000 of them in total and the number is increasing faster and faster. The 13 textures I am presenting here are the best so far and were created in the last 40 days. They are not published yet. I plan to sell them and the scanned items soon.
To create a texture it takes between 50 and 400 photos of an area which is at least 50x50cm and maximal 200×200cm big, afterwards I calculate a 3D model with 3DF Zephyr. I used to repair the model in Cinema 4D and render the texture maps but now I switched to blender for this process step. Then I mask the seams by hand in Photoshop and create the other maps. The texture previews are rendered with Octane.
All textures have a resolution of at least 4096×4096 or 8192×8192, have a color depth of 16bit, are completely tileable and contain 5 texture maps (albedo, height, normal, specular, roughness). All free textures are also available in 1K and 2K resolution and in 3 file formats.
If you want to see more textures feel free to see the remaining 14 items on my homepage.
