Kai and I have been together for five years now and even after all this time I can’t help but to marvel at him. Not only did he start photography and making videos when he was only 10 – at 12 he discovered Photoshop, at 14 he was selling t-shirt designs, everyone at art school always preferred to ask him for help instead of the lecturers, he assembeled his PC by himself but he also appropriated his phsyical and artistic eye without any help, which is important for 3D art. Surely you would think that is enough? But no, on top of all that he still manages to learn something new every day. Even a 9 hour shift can’t stop him. Late in the evenings he’ll sit in front of his screen to render images, work on his website or
go outside to collect textures. Sometimes he’ll even work for 14 hours straight and forget to eat, drink, or check his cellphone. Kai has always been a „do it yourself guy“, a „teach yourself“ kind of person and an eager workaolic, when it comes to the things he’s passionate about. However he longs fo a mentor or an environment that can challenge and inspire him. I know many artists, designers (I am one myself), physicists and technicians, but I only know one person who is a crazy mix of all these things. Nevertheless, he is also an introvert and would never choose such big words to describe himself, so now I have done it for him. :)
